Malcolm Wilson is a very proud Cumbrian and delights in bringing clients to the Lake District to show them our wonderful scenery. Born and brought up in West Cumbria, Malcolm started competing at a very early age and his very first National win was on this event. He rapidly rose to the top of the driver rankings and his career as a driver has been well documented.

Having had many successes in Ford vehicles Malcolm started his own business in preparing and supporting Ford Escorts, this business has now grown into M-Sport Ltd, based at Dovenby Hall near Cockermouth. The ability of M-Sport was confirmed when Ford awarded the Company the contract to build and prepare the Ford WRC cars and to run the teams on the World Rally Championship events.

The success and the attention to detail from all the team members has now brought the WRC manufacturers title to Cumbria in two successive years. Add this achievement to the number of high tech jobs created in Dovenby and the money brought to area by this event and you have a fact recognised by Cumbria by the presentation of a Cumbria Life Time Achievement Award earlier this year.

M-Sport will be well represented at WRC level but also have competitors throughout the world running Focus WRC cars and also taking part in the now established Fiesta ST series.
