Motorsport UK is following government guidelines and events are going ahead with precautions, No gathering of people for briefings or ceremonial starts. Advise everyone to wash their hands frequently. Use sanitizer gel if unable to wash their hands. Wash down hard surfaces with sanitising spray. Don’t shake hands! and don’t take offence!
Therefore the Malcolm Wilson Rally will put in place precautions to safeguard competitors and M-Sport staff, There will be no sale of M-Sport kit and access to M-Sport is limited to competitors only ( no service crews). Competitors are advised not to stand too closely together and anyone feeling trhat they have any symptoms should follow guidelines stay home and self isolate. Please help us to keep everyone safe on the event.
For the 44th time we will provide a forest stage event in the beautiful Lake District. Starting from the friendly town of Cockermouth where scrutineering and noise will take place at P & R Benn & documentation will take place in the M-Sport complex. It will be organised by the same experienced team who have been involved for many years. The event has easy access via the M6 motorway & good A roads. We will have an early start and an early finish so you could be home for dinner so come on up!! We have listened to your comments and will have a different entry system and no prizegiving! Paperwork will be available on line and we have made arrangements for you to spread your entry with a £50 deposit securing your place. NOTE : Your entry will only be published once the deposit has been received and if the full payment is not made by the date we seed you will not be included.
Well behaved management cars are welcome and may freely use the areas provided. M-Sport will again provide their superb facilities for documentation and overnight rally car park. Pearl Wilson will again have her stall to raise money for the In House charity of the year, and the Pit Stop Café will be open for catering – at very reasonable prices both on Friday evening and Saturday morning. Security is still a high priority so please restrict your movements to the areas open to the Rally.
Route notes will be available to all competitors. There will be two providers :Pattersons and On The Pace Note as we are aware that there are restrictions on some championships. See separate details within the regulations. To improve the enjoyment of both driver & co-driver we will provide outline route maps, stage maps & tulips for road & stage sections in the road book available on line in advance and printed copies at signing on.
